Handmade Valentines Gift Ideas
We’re a Little Late, But They’re Still Cute!
If the economy is the same next year as it was this Valentine’s Day, chances are you won’t be buying or receiving gifts from Tiffany’s. But that’s ok, right? A handmade Valentines gift is way better than another red and white teddy bear and a stale box of chocolates any day!
So if you’re looking to impress your significant other with your craftiness, check out these cute, easy handmade Valentines gift ideas:
Candy hearts and a red, red rose helps to set the romantic mood. This handmade Valentines gift is so simple to make, yet it looks gorgeous. The hundreds of little hearts are a wonderful touch, leaving them no room to question your eternal love.
Nothing will set your loved one on fire like the flicker of a romantic candle. (“Ooo-la-la!”) You can duplicate this handmade Valentines gift using your favorite patterned paper and ribbons. Again, nothing too difficult, but very, very cute.
Chocolate is the universal aphrodisiac. So please, don’t destroy its powers by getting your crush a lame, heart-shaped box of chocolates! This isn’t junior high (apologies to any junior high schoolers who may be reading), so don’t be afraid to step up your game. This custom wrapped chocolate bar is sure to be a success. Again, you can use scraps from your favorite lovey-dovey patterned papers, and some cute ribbon. Adding a charm will make it that much more charming (ok, that was a lame joke, I know). A delicious handmade Valentines gift!
By opting to make a present this year, you’ll not only save some cash, but you’ll be sure to wow your special someone. DIY-ing is the best way to really show them how much they mean to you. So have fun! Be romantic! And, give them a stinkin’ cute handmade Valentines gift!

Save Time and Paper with One Tiny Button

Save Time and Paper with One Tiny Button
The Greatest Button on the Cricut!
I just learned the coolest thing today!
Have you ever used your Cricut to cut something out only to have it be the wrong size? Or it didn’t cut right? Or you wanted to use the same piece of paper to cut something else out afterward?
This happens to me all the time.
What I used to do was re-load my paper and then use the arrow keys to try and move the cutter blade to a new position where I could start cutting again.
Most of the time though, I could not get it right. Either I cut too much paper, or it overlaps where I cut before and gets ruined, and I have to try it again.
Has this ever happened to you?
What if I told you that one tiny button could change all that? Could let you start cutting again from the exact location that the machine let off? Could save you time, paper, and lower your stress levels dramatically?!
Well, there is!
 |
| Your New Favorite Button! |
By pressing the “Load Last” your Cricut will automatically tell the cutter to start from the last place you left off. That way, you can get the most use from each piece of paper, without having to fuss with trying to position the cutter blade yourself!
I love this machine!
Don’t have a Cricut Expression cutting system yet? Find the cheapest one here...

Paris Hilton Reveals Her New Line of Scrapbooking Accessories
When we started this site, we made ourselves a promise: That there were two words which, under no condition, would ever be allowed on StinkinCuteStuff.com. Little did we know that shortly after our inauguration we would have to break that rule and publish those forbidden words: Paris Hilton.
What do Paris Hilton and Scrapbooking have in common?
Nothing!
But will that stop her from creating her own line of scrapbooking products? Of course not...she's Paris Hilton.
Is there nothing sacred anymore?
Now, we know how you feel. But please, don’t abandon scrapbooking! It is still as lovely and wonderful as it has always been; even if it has been…tainted.
Unfortunately, this is not a joke. She appeared at the Crafts and Hobby Association in Anaheim, CA on January 25, 2009 to unveil her latest shameless attempt to promote herself.
Targeted at the tween market ( please protect your daughters!), the Paris Hilton Creativity Collection is said to be available in Spring 2009.
Please stay tuned for more information...
And, please, spread the word by adding this to your favorite social bookmarking site!

Cute Vinyl Frames with the Cricut Expression
Want to know a fun, easy project you can do with your Cricut Expression? These cute custom vinyl lettering glass frames are a perfect gift that you can give for any occasion.
All you’ll need is:
In this example, we were making a frame for some friends of ours. We used the Cricut Design Studio to easily layout exactly what we wanted our design to look like, centering their last name in a big font above each family member’s name in a smaller font. Then all we did was add some cute shapes from our favorite Cricut Cartridges, and the machine did the rest.
These clear glass frames are wonderful because of their simplicity! The vinyl easily sticks to the glass for a clean, custom look.
And presto! You’ve got a super cute vinyl lettered glass frame which you just made in minutes with your Cricut Expression .
